I have been all over the DMV looking for QUALITY and TASTEFUL AUTHENTIC Jamaican food. And this is it. I haven’t been this impressed in a while. If you’re in the area (ie all of the DMV) you need to stop by. I highly recommend this place. I had the curry goat with food and plantain and my wife had the oxtail with rice and callaloo. I would add pictures but we ate too quickly lol.

Place order thru Grubhub to Nice & Spicy, Silver Spring, MD location Thursday lunch order the goat roti, fried dumplings, porridge the best I've ever had! beef patty & the fried chicken, homemade sorrel. They called me to ask me what I would like for my 2nd side for the chicken fry meal, I so appreciated that and got the plantains. The porridge is addictive, the goat roti was absolutely Perfect! the fried chicken had a nice flavor and the plantains were like caramel candy. I will most defiantly be re-ordering the goat roti. I placed another order over the weekend for more porridge but it had some yellow things in it that were not in the one I had Thursday, plus it did not taste the same, so I will have to make sure that I only order Porridge from here on Thursday's, stew peas, bread pudding..I like that they promptly refunded the bread pudding. The Stewed Peas was Delish!, but disappointed over the small portion I received for 17.

I ordered pickup from Nice n Spicy via Ubereats, not once, but twice, and it didn't disappoint. I tried the oxtail and the curried goat – both were delicious and packed with flavor. The atmosphere, I'd say, was just okay, but hey, it's all about the food. They also have a fridge with cultural Caribbean drinks. They've got a good lineup of classic Jamaican dishes, so you'll find the usual on the menu. What stood out to me was the service – it was consistently pleasant on both occasions. If you're in the mood for some authentic Jamaican eats, I'd definitely recommend paying Nice n Spicy a visit. The tasty food and friendly service make it a spot worth trying out.

Under the new management, I have observed an exponential improvement in the quality of food, portions, and customer service. I highly recommend this establishment. I had the goat soup today and it was spectacular. Well seasoned and lots of goat meat. Earlier in the week, I had the brown stew chicken and a chicken patty. Both were delicious and worth returning for.

Hole in the wall that is absolutely banging! 2 Jamaican ladies are doing the cooking! Flavors for the greens and cabbage was rocking! The food is delicious! Never judge a book by its cover! Great find!

New management has added more variety. Food is always fresh. Service is fast and friendly. I see some people complaining on their reviews, it’s is impossible to please everyone. Soup options change daily! They have fried chicken too. Give it a try you will not be disappointed.
